Your privacy is not just a feature—it's our foundation. Pastebar is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your clipboard data belongs to you, and only you.

• No clipboard data — Your copied content never leaves your Mac
• No analytics — We don’t track how you use the app
• No personal information — We don’t know who you are
• No network requests — Pastebar works entirely offline
• No cloud sync — Everything stays on your device

All clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac using Apple's Core Data framework in a sandboxed container at ~/Library/Containers/app.pastebar/. This data is protected by macOS security features and FileVault encryption. It can be deleted at any time using the “Clear History” feature and is never transmitted over the internet.

Pastebar automatically respects sensitive data flags used by password managers:

• •Items marked with org.nspasteboard.TransientType are ignored
• •Items marked with org.nspasteboard.ConcealedType are ignored

This means passwords from 1Password, Keychain, and other managers are never saved by Pastebar.

Pastebar uses zero third-party services. No SDKs, no frameworks, no external dependencies that could access your data.

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page and the “Last Updated” date. We will never change the fundamental principle: your data stays on your device.
